The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust delegates have visited the institute's Medical School

Mr. Walter Panzirer, trustee of the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust and grandson of Leona Helmsley, as well as Ms. Trista Kontz-Bartels, director of the Helmsley program for vulnerable children in sub-Saharan Africa, have paid a visit to the Medical School.
The Helmsley Charitable Trust has been funding the construction of the school of medicine building, which consists of faculty offices, classrooms, and laboratories, in addition to a cutting-edge advanced diagnostic laboratory facility for research and clinical diagnostics capable of serving the community and city. The delegates also discussed the possibility of reopening the Mother and Child Specialty Clinic which has been serving the community for a length of time. During their visit, Mr. Walter Panzirer and Ms. Trista Kontz-Bartels met with medical students who had been granted a scholarship funded by the Helmsley Charitable Trust on the occasion of a traditional coffee ceremony presented as a token of appreciation.

Br. Amilcare Boccuccia, Executive Director of Fondazione De La Salle Solidarietà Internazionale ONLUS, Sister Laura Ballerini, Communication Director of DLLSL ONLUS, Br. Hans Moran, the Interim President of the Institution, and Br. Getachew Alemayehu, Academic Vice President and Sector Coordinator, along with the Institute’s Executive Team and the faculty have accompanied the delegates while visiting the institute.
