Pre-Clerkship Foundations & Skills Lab
Rigorous foundational study in human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and pharmacology. Training takes place in campus lecture halls and the simulation skills lab before students interact with hospitalized patients.

Clinical Professionalism & Standards
As an ECUSTA medical or laboratory science student on ward attachments, you carry the institutional mission of healing with dignity and moral integrity.
Dress Code & Identification
Clean white clinical coats, official ECUSTA student identification badges, and closed-toe protective footwear are mandatory at all times across all hospital wards and laboratories.
Encounter Logbooks & Sign-Offs
Every clinical encounter, delivery, and surgical assist must be recorded in your official logbook and countersigned weekly by the supervising registrar or consultant.
Infection Control & PEP Protocols
All students must maintain verified Hepatitis B immunization. In the event of a sharps injury or body fluid exposure, immediate Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) protocols apply.
National Medical Exit Exam & Licensing
ECUSTA prepares graduates rigorously for the national qualification exam administered by the Ministry of Health and Education. Our curriculum incorporates regular mock OSCEs, board reviews, and dedicated faculty mentor sessions.
